“BackingBlack” was a Telecom enabled fan club for the All Blacks designed and implemented by Spur to unite support through mobile, broadband and digital technology. BackingBlack was anchored in social media, user-generated content and money can’t buy participatory experiences such as the magnificent Backing Black HQ – a 400sq metre home for All Black fans during the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
