Spur successfully partnered with Saatchi & Saatchi to secure the event promotion and activation work streams for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. The first major milestone was the launch of the tournament’s unique and distinctive brand identity. The launch approach was developed and delivered during peak covid restrictions. A virtual event was produced in an Auckland studio with the host coordinating live-streamed guests from Sydney, London & Zurich. The content was broadcast on Sky TV (NZ), Foxtel (AU) and was transmitted simultaneously across FIFA’s worldwide digital and social media platforms, reaching half a million football fans.
9 months later, to mark ‘one year to go’ until kick-off, Spur coordinated a range of audio visual installations including a projection onto Auckland’s iconic Sky Tower.
