Auckland International Airport engaged Spur to create a series of experiential activations inside their terminals in the lead up to Christmas. This period is peak season for travel so there were a wide range of operational considerations when it came to where we could go, what we could do, and when we could do it.

The central hub was located on level one of international departures. Passengers could grab a festive photo with friends and family. A simple kiosk (courtesy of the team at Smile Dealers) enabled members of the public to capture both a digital and physical photo as a Christmas memento.

AIA and Spark collaborated on an additional activation; a surprise and delight phone booth featuring a direct line to Santa.

Roaming brand ambassadors distributed chocolate bars and captured instant polaroid images throughout the arrivals halls in both the domestic and international terminals. The site was live for the 3-weeks leading into Christmas.
